If you choose to scan your photo to e-mail to DigiFixPix then please consider the following recommendations for scanning:
- Color Setting: Scan all pictures, black or white, in true color mode. Do not select grayscale even if the photo is black and white.
- File Size and DPI: Once you have a preview scan of your photo, select the area to be scanned. Then increase or decrease the DPI setting until your scanning software
reports a file size around 10 megabytes. The DPI you select will range anywhere from 100 to 1200 depending on the size of the photo and DPI limitations of your scanner. Once the photo is scanned it should be
saved in a JPG format with minimal compression. Check the file size of the JPG and make sure it is below 1.44 megabytes. Now you are ready to e-mail your photo to DigiFixPix. Dont forget to include the information under Place Order in your e-mail.
